Here we cook with what Mother Earth - naturally - gives us; we use and abuse of flowers, bulbs, roots, vegetables and herbs of our garden; the products are used according to seasonality, mostly are Portuguese and many locally sourced.

THE CHEF
António Pega is his name - the chef at Semear Restaurant. He is 34 years old, born and raised in Viseu. He didn't discover his passion for cooking until he was 24, after completing his master’s degree in mechanical engineering. From 2014 to 2021, between internships, training and working with Michelin stars, he decided to seriously invest in his art, by traveling through London, Lisbon, Porto and Burgundy.
The art of cooking certainly improved, and his passion grew even stronger. Until finally, in 2021, he received an invitation to come work for our hotel and has remained here, ever since.
